How to Configure Group Pricing Rules on Zuru
Group pricing lets you set different per-person prices depending on how many people are in a booking. The more guests someone brings, the lower the per-person rate they pay. This makes your experiences more attractive to families, corporate teams, and travel groups without you having to negotiate prices manually. You build the tiers once and Zuru applies the right price automatically at checkout.
How It Works
Group Pricing is described as "Different per-person prices based on group size." You create a table of tiers, where each tier has a specific per-person price, a minimum group size, and a maximum group size. When a customer selects their number of guests on the Zuru Marketplace or your Operator Page, Zuru automatically applies the per-person price that matches their group size.
The lowest per-person price across all your tiers is displayed as the "From" price on the marketplace, which gives browsers an immediate sense of the best available rate and encourages larger group bookings.
Steps
1. Go to Pricing Rules in your dashboard
Log in at operator.tryzuru.com and open Sales and Operations in the left sidebar. Click Pricing Rules.

2. Select the experience you want to configure
Click on the experience from the list. The Manage Pricing Rules panel opens on the right.
3. Add a new rule and select Group Pricing
Under Add New Rule, open the dropdown and select Group Pricing.
4. Set up your first tier
The form starts with Tier 1, which has a minimum of 1 guest and no maximum by default. Enter the per-person price for your smallest group size in the Price per person field. Then set the maximum number of guests this tier applies to. For example, if your standard rate covers groups of 1 to 4, set Min to 1, Max to 4, and enter your standard per-person price.
5. Add more tiers
Click the Add Tier button to add a second tier for a larger group size. Set the minimum, maximum, and the lower per-person price for that range. For example, Tier 2 could cover 5 to 10 guests at a reduced per-person rate, and Tier 3 could cover 11 and above at your lowest per-person rate with no maximum.
Keep adding tiers until your pricing structure covers all the group sizes you want to cater for. Your final tier can have no upper limit, which means it applies to any group above that minimum size.
6. Activate on creation
Leave the Active on creation toggle on so the rule goes live as soon as you save it.
7. Click Create Group Pricing Rule
Save the rule. Group pricing is now active for that experience.
What Customers See
As a customer on the marketplace adjusts their guest count, the per-person price updates in real time to reflect whichever tier their group size falls into. They can see the savings as they add more guests, which is a subtle but effective nudge to bring more people along.
The lowest per-person price across all your tiers also appears as the starting "From" price in search results, making your listing look competitive at first glance.
Testing Your Rule
Use the Test Pricing option at the bottom of the panel to check that each tier is applying the right price before bookings start coming in.
